They say never to judge a book by its cover but what about a title? I ran into such a dilemma years back when my then titled book THIS CHRISTMAS was released. As is often the case, the book went up for pre-order before the draft was finalized, and in this instance, before the town name was chosen. One day, my daughter and I were passing by a house I often admired, and I commented on the lovely front door which was the prettiest shade of French blue I’d ever seen. I asked my rather artistic daughter what she would call that color, and much to my surprise, she replied, “Winter Lake.” I immediately knew that this would be the name of the town in my book–and that I had missed a golden opportunity for the title. Well, that book has now been out for five years, and to mark the anniversary, it is at long last being re-released under the title it should have had all along. No, the story has not changed, but I couldn’t be happier to finally bring CHRISTMAS IN WINTER LAKE to all my readers.
Now on Kindle Unlimited: The Oyster Bay Series
It’s hard to believe that the Oyster Bay series is six years old! It feels like just yesterday that I was jotting down notes in a car outside of my daughter’s ballet studio, working out the opening chapter for the first book. And it definitely feels like yesterday that both FEELS LIKE HOME and, soon after, CHRISTMAS AT THE COTTAGE hit the USA Today Bestseller List.
Since the release, all the books in the Oyster Bay series and the spin-off Bayside Brides series have been available across all platforms, but as of this month, I’m happy to share that all nine books are now available in the Kindle Unlimited library. I’m so excited to reach new readers with my most treasured series. Happy Reading to all!
New Release: The Starlight Sisters
It’s Release Day for THE STARLIGHT SISTERS! It feels like this book was a long time coming, and I’m thrilled to share it with all of my readers. This book touches on three childhood friends who were torn apart by a tragic accident that happened in their seaside town, eventually shaping their lives and altering their paths. For years, the now 30-something friends have reunited but never back in Starlight Beach, and when they do, they must face the past once for all and decide if it will continue to define their lives or finally set them free.
If you’re looking for your next book club read or just something to pop into your beach bag, you can get THE STARLIGHT SISTERS on Kindle (and KU!) or in paperback wherever books are sold.
